"I was two years and four months old by the time the old millennium was over. Like most people my age, sleeping, eating and getting through cart-loads of disposable nappies get in the way of important things like exploring a world full of high-tech electrical gear.

"One of my main interests is music. Robbie Williams ( I don't think I am related), Fat Boy Slim, my singing teddy bears and a pre-programmed electric piano are big favourites. I like the Teletubbies but you can't beat Thomas the Tank Engine.

"My room is packed full of battery-operated gadgetry that whizzes, beeps, bongs and flashes brightly-coloured lights.

"There is nothing like getting out in the garden and helping daddy mow the lawn, dig up mud and tear around in my play car. I love finding worms, picking up stones, splashing in puddles and am forever being encouraged by dad to kick a ball about. He says that if I practise enough with my left foot I'll be able to afford a retirement bungalow for them when I become a famous footballer.

"I enjoy helping mum with the vacuuming. She says the Dyson is a design classic.

"She worries a lot about my food. She says when she was little my grandma only had to worry about how much food she ate and not what was in it or whether it has been genetically modified, whatever that means.

"From the moment I popped into the world I have had lenses pointed at me. Dad's got this video camera. I've got hours of my life on video already. All I can see of my dad's babyhood are a collection of dog-eared black and white snaps, and some of those are out of focus."
